We have a little Hispanic truck driver. He is a pretty good truck driver, always courteous, and clean. He takes care of his equipment and is very capable of working on it as well.

His real downfall is that he is a motor mouth. You can never tell what may come out of it! Sometimes when he is thinking he is saying one thing something very different may come out of his mouth. More on this later.

This man is very religious, being a devout Catholic. Through the Holy time of the year he has participated. Ash Wednesday, Palm Sunday, and Easter. He gave up smoking during lent. He always has his rosary with him in the truck.

Now I am not going to start any sort of argument about which or what religion is right. I think GOD could care less if someone is a Catholic, a Baptist, a Methodist, a COC er, or a martian. I think we may have missed the point he intended here, just like I don't know that GOD ever intended for instrumental music or women in worship to be an issue. If GOD ever did a do over, he might clarify a lot of stuff that has been divisive.

A while back when things were pretty slow for the trucks, he was concerned. About work, about money, about everything. This man told me he prays every day that work would come. His prayer has been answered as we have been busier in the last two weeks than we have since December. Any time this driver calls in to check in I always tell him, be safe and play nice. He usually responds by saying "Good LORD willing, I will be at ..... (his destination) when we talk again".

When things got to going good, the work was there, this man began making better money and he was telling me how good a job Krl has been doing dispatching the trucks. Then he kind of blew me away. He said, "I just hope that we can keep blessing GOD".

Now I feel sure that what he meant to say is "I just hope GOD keeps blessing us". It is kind of like the black horse is caballo negro in spanish. I think this man may have had a problem in the translation.

But it has made me think. Can we bless GOD? Is he blessed when we please him?

Hhhmmmm.

Tomorrow I am taking Memama to Lubbock to the hand doctor. Pat is doing duty in Austin with Robyn at the oral surgeon. I don't know, but kindergarten graduation is tomorrow evening in Lubbock.

Have a day!

FATHER, thank YOU for blessing us!
