Well, that was a fitful night.

Krl went to bed early. I was watching television and woke up about eleven in my recliner. I could hear the jingle of dog tags and knew that Krl was stirring and the houndgirls were headed out the door. I will never understand it, but it is always a race to get out the door. Phooey elected to take a short cut between Krl's legs just as Krl stepped back as the door opened. When I stepped around my chair, Krl was in a heap on the floor. Her right leg had collapsed under her as she was trying to avoid stepping on Phooey. Immediately her ankle began to swell and about six inches above her ankle a discoloration and knot began to appear. Of course she didn't want to go to the doctor, she said we would wait until this morning and go see Doctor Mackie. This morning she awoke with the realization that it is Saturday and Dr. Mackie doesn't work weekends. Now I don't know what we will do. We have rigged up a home remedy for moving her around. She sits in one of the office chairs and either rolls herself or I roll her. So, more than likely we will spend the majority of our day sitting in the ER trying to find out how much damage she has done. All she can tell me is that it is crunchy when she tries to put weight on it. Doesn't sound good.

My big Friday project was errands. The UPS Package Store, Alltel, and a quick stop by Trc and Brently's. Brently and his crew were doing prep work for a retro fit job for the foundation company. I guess they are staying busy. I did discuss the Blacksheep stereo saga with Brently which moved him to show me his pickup stereo. I've always enjoyed music but I have never been a stereo hound. Give me something good, something durable, something sensible and I am a happy camper. Brently's stereo packs a lot of punch. It will make the mirrors flex and vibrate, it is crisp and sharp. My question is, and for what good.

I don't want anything remotely like this for Blacksheep. I want functional. It is space sensitive and installation ease is critical. I am not concerned about having the "woofers" vibrate the backs of the seats, or how much thump I have waiting at a traffic signal. I don't want those blue lights under the vehicle either. I'm a plain vanilla kind of a guy.

Hope your weekend is a good one.

FATHER, speak to me.
