A quick note before moving on. Pam Cope is going to be on Oprah today. I have never met the woman, but do know of her through MC's blog. Building a memorial to a son, one child at a time. It is quite a story. This show taped earlier this week for airing in March but Oprah moved it up.
Anna Nicole, the end of a sad story. It makes me worry for her young daughter. Paternity suit is already in the works. I only hope the paternity pursuit is for the right reasons and not just about $$$$$.
I don't think the Cowboy's got a "Bum" coach, but I think they got as close as they could. I always enjoyed "Bum" Phillips when he was with the Oilers, and I have always liked his son Wade. I am fearful that his selection as the new head coach of the 'boys has a lot to do with Jerry Jones being confident he could be manipulated and dictated. I hope not. Maybe it is just because Wade, like his Dad, always has come across as a nice guy. LORD knows he has jumped out of the frying pan and into the fire!
And finally, begin day four of the Blacksheep stereo saga!
But I have a plan. A plan that brings raw material and these hands together, producing the much needed pieces for me to complete this project. A plan that is complete and comprehensive and when done in it's fullness will hear music flow and not see me doing this same thing a year from now.
Fabricate. That's what I'm going to do and I think I have made a selection of what materials to use.
Krl had an appointment yesterday. I chauffeured her there. Since I had some time to kill I went to Hobby Lobby and walked through the entire store. I couldn't help but smile and think about the "Mabee West Air Force", but that's another blog. I was wondering how "creative" all the people I saw were. Actually the store is pretty over powering. Lot of stuff packed into lots of shelf space. I was actually looking for something I had promised at Christmas, but I didn't find it. I spent the balance of my wait time going to get gas for the S-10. Gas is creeping back up. Just as I finished fueling, my cell phone toned and it was Krl telling me she was ready.
We drove across town to the yard. I wanted to check and be sure I had locked up the previous day. I had awakened yesterday at two in the morning trying to remember if I had locked the big lock. Then Krl and I went to eat a late lunch. We ended up having lunch and visiting with friends. It was nice. Finally the chilly weather got to Krl and we began making our way toward home.
Once she had gotten warm and as we were nearing the mall, I asked her if she was up to stopping in at Best Buy or Circuit City for a brief look. She did and we went to Best Buy. It was my first experience in the store and guess what. They didn't have what I was looking for either. It was mind boggling though. Why in the world would someone need a $500 radio/CD player? My ears aren't that sharp. I figure a $500 radio/CD with $39 dollar speakers probably sounds more like the $39 speakers. My common denominator for this project is that regardless of how much and what kind, the music is going to be divided by the deep throaty roar of a big diesel engine.
I wonder if I could find a simple am radio with the speaker built in?
I have the "telly" going and earlier in this blog I heard a young woman make the statement that she was scared that if she didn't excel on a certain project, she would be relegated to a life of a menial laborer, either cleaning or serving. It just kind of hit me wrong. First of all that we are driven by the fear of failure, second of all that we are raising children with severe misconceptions of happiness and success. The "measuring bar" seems to be tainted with $$$$$$ and status. It is no wonder that so many young people are unhappy because they are in pursuit of an illusive, unattainable, and totally unrealistic dream.
Wow, are these young people in for a shock when they become parents. Cleaning and serving.
Get it right today and take the next two off! Have a day!
FATHER, help us to find our true purpose in YOUR plan.
