Downhill side of the week! Yeehaw!

Thursday could have been one of those days that you could have left out the h and the s from spelling the day. It was a little crazy. It seemed like everything that happened was just a little out of the ordinary. Example; we have one lease operator who is down today because his left signal light doesn't work. ????? This makes two days in the last two weeks he has had this problem. Either it wasn't fixed the first time or he has been running without it. It would appear this driver does none of his maintenance on the weekends............ . Maybe I should refer a new mechanic. If this truck doesn't get going for the Friday run we will know he just wanted a long weekend. Tsk tsk. I guess I am expecting the worst.

Had a call from my South Texas boys yesterday. They are ready to come West Texas for their seasonal work. Gilbert called for himself, his dad Adan, and his uncle Lino. These guys are real truckers. I never hear from them, they just tend to business, back and forth. Never a complaint. I think if I had six truckers like these that would be all I need. As it is I will have to have nine. I would rather them be safe and not run to the point of exhaustion. It's going to be a long season. Pacing. Run the smart race, be there at the end.

This morning I talked with Goose, another of my truckers and he was off loading in Arizona. His truck is going in the shop Monday morning for a major in-frame over haul. Pistons, liners, and bearings. It should come out of the shop just in time for the fall work.

Heh, heh! The team is coming together. I am hearing the fall work will probably be starting the week of the third of October. "Let's git 'er done!"

I have been kicking around several different scenarios in my head. I hope to get them in order enough to put them in my blog in the near future. Right now I am still organizing.

Well, have a day! Be the real deal!

FATHER, please carry me through the end of this week. Help me to be productive, help me to be fair. Be with me as I put together the Fall program. FATHER, I pray for continued healing and renewal for Krl and I. I pray for safety for Adam and his men. I pray for Makai. I ask YOUR gifts of healing for Addie, Memama, Pepa, Hag, Bet's, B., Lillie, Aimee, Jennifer, Ashlyn Kate, Jess, Dr. Mackie, Jeanine, Verlin, S.T., K.C., and Brenda. I ask YOUR comfort for those hurting from loss. I pray for focus for those of us who struggle as we try to follow YOU. I pray for our spiritual family and our leaders. I pray for the efforts being made to expand YOUR kingdom. I give it all to YOU. Use me.
