I feel like crud!

When I woke this morning it was to an endless stream of snot. Even if my head were totally empty, there is no way it could hold as much junk as I blew from my nose. Yuk! It went on for ever. I survived, but just barely.

I had become a little lax at taking my antibiotics, antihistimine and my tylenol and it came back and bit me on the backside. I got just a little bit too hot yesterday and I paid for it.

I got to work in the office today. Yeah! And I needed to. With trucks running over the weekend there was lots to catch up on and after a day like yesterday I needed to cool my jets. I had gotten an early start on my Tuesday and it was a good thing. By the time I got away from Abilene it was seven-thirty-nine, and I had a ten o'clock appointment on the east side of Fort Worth. I stayed with it and made it exactly at ten. I hit the dock and was live unloading when I learned that the Waco leg of the trip was for Wednesday not Tuesday. I was able to catch a load back to Abilene to finish my day.

I have no idea how many loads of water we have moved from Abilene. Abilene is one of the main sources for water distribution for our core customer. I don't know how many people would believe me if I told them their favorite bottled water originated in Fort Phantom Lake. It seems as though anytime we have a truck available we will take water at least as far Fort Worth. Tomorrow we do have two more trucks traveling to Thibodaux, Louisiana with you guessed it, water. The distribution network has begged and borrowed water resources and now the need is spreading outward.

I went to Freightliner yesterday and picked up some parts. They had almost everything I needed to get Trc's truck up in shape. A person can sure spend the money quickly when buying from an OEM.

We had a new guy start working here today. He is going to be training and hopefully will take over a lot of the maintenance issues. Today he is at the shop washing some trucks, one of which is Trc's. The guy worked for KO at the gin last year and his Dad works with us as well. He seems like a good kid, just young.

Not much news from my world. Let's "git 'er done!" Be the real deal.

FATHER, thank YOU for all YOU do. I pray for healing. I pray for Krl, I pray for all those near and dear who are in need. I pray for the victims of the hurricane. YOU bless us everyone.
