Tuesday was one of those muddle through days. It wasn't spectacular but we made it work! Krl and I did make a late jaunt to town. We had been needing to go to pick up a few supplies and had been procrastinating. After hearing the weather forecast, we decided to get it done and then we could stay close to work and the trailer even if the weather turns bad.
We finally braved Wal-Mart for the first time since before Christmas. It was still busy. I have been told that the Midland location is the number one store in sales for this giant retailer! This consumer would certainly believe it! In fact plans are in place for another Midland supercenter in the coming year. We made quick work of our supplies and began trying to decide where we wanted to eat. We felt like we deserved a reward for making the trip. We finally decided to do the Outback deal. We had never been in town when it was open or was not covered up. While we enjoyed the down time, we have been able to mark Outback off our to do list! It was O.K. but I still believe my favorite eating establishment is home! ha! Krl did bring enough of her meal home to feed us for a meal or two.
As with most trips there had to be a crisis. On the way home we turned from the major thoroughfare onto a less traveled road and I decided to click on the bright lights so we could scour the road for wayward deer. Therein was the problem. When I clicked on the brights it became totally dark. Try as I might I could not get the brights or the dims to stay on. Apparently the dimmer switch has gone out on the company SUV. Might have to pursue some warranty here! I did find that I could manually hold the lever in a certain position and we could have brights (while I was elated I don't think the two or three vehicles we met shared this feeling). We made it back with out further incident, missing shift change by a scant twenty minutes. Thankfully the crew coming on shift was my old faithful crew and they were there with bells on!
FATHER, I thank YOU for all that YOU do in my life. I ask for YOUR continued presence. I continue to ask YOUR healing for all those in need. I ask for physical health for those near and dear that I petition YOU for daily. I ask for spiritual healing and renewal for myself, for R2D2 and for all those lost and needing YOU. I pray for the victims of all the disasters of the past year. I ask YOUR comfort for them all. I pray for the relief efforts on their behalf. I pray for our spiritual leaders, for our spiritual family, for YOUR will to be done. Into my heart!
