The new year came out of the blocks slow and steady but is now gaining momentum!

We did driver settlements, equipment lease settlements, some payables, loaded a hundred bales, shipped two hundred bales, all the previous on a down maintenance day! The big difference between a work day and a maintenance day is a maintenance day is controlled caos. We got forklifts serviced and greased, radiators blown out, the gin crew did a hard day of repairs and hopefully everyone is prepared to go two more weeks until we get to do it all again! The plant came back up in the early part of the evening.

Krl and I didn't go anywhere. I had gotten up early yesterday and got behind the computer. By the time she got up I had almost everything ready to print. When it was all off the printer I left to go do things in other areas of the compound and she got busy proofing and putting together checks and settlements. About one-thirty I started making my way back to the trailer. When I got back inside Krl and I had a quick conversation and decided the only good reason for going to town would be for both of us to get haircuts (as we are looking like Shaggy and Scooby). This was not luring enough as we could only envision what Walmart, Regis, and the other chain salons would be like. So if anyone gets by a hair cutting joint, please pick up two and box them and send them to us. You will be compensated generously!

We ended up grilling our supper and watching the telly!

I laid in bed early this morning, listening to the hustle and bustle outside, to Krl's rhythmic breathing along with the hound boys and hound girls accompaniment, and I consider myself blessed. This has been a different year for me out here. This is the first year that Krl and I have had concentrated time. It used to be two or three weeks was the total time Krl would spend here so this year has been a real treat! It has been some concentrated time of renewal and bonding. If I can keep her locked in the trailer for a few weeks more I know I can convince her I am not an idiot! (Just kidding about the locked up part, not the idiot part though). For several years Krl and I worked together and shared an office. We think a lot alike and I believe I had really missed working with her. Some people say their work time away is what makes their home life better. I think when Krl and I work together we become closer. I don't know, we just get on a wave length and connect. I am thankful for her and her help.

FATHER, I give this day back to YOU. Use me in it. I pray for safety, I pray for productivity, for all my workers and contractors. I continue to pray for the relief efforts for all those affected by the disasters. I pray for healing for Hag, for Lillie, for Rene', for Carol, for Michelle, for Aimee, for Rusty and Kim's baby, for Jennifer, for Delaney. I ask YOUR care and comfort for them all. I pray for those of us who need spiritual healing. For R2D2, for me, for all of us lost and stumbling. Surround us with YOU. I pray for our spiritual family and their efforts. We bow down.
