There was nothing holy about my Sunday. It was a really trying day. I knew after the trip to Lubbock on Saturday it would double up the Sunday work load. Driver Settlements, equipment leases, a full compliment of master billing and block pages. The only bright spot was that the printer Krl brought from the house is much much quicker than the old one. Usually as I build, proof and print, the print jobs stack up until the printer quits accepting commands, not so yesterday. In addition to the weekend rush for settlements, there had to be other glitches. Problems with the fuel card reader, leaving us forty miles from the nearest fuel outlet. A unit supervisor who wants to run things, the GM met with me and we made some decisions that were passed on to personnel, only for this unit manager to try to overturn once the GM was gone for the day. This is the same unit manager that has let the feeder run out of cotton nine times in the last five days, stopping bale production. I don't know how many times the smaller plant has run out of modules. This is the same unit manager that came to me asking for me to have my truckers bring him parts back from Lubbock, yet when one of these truckers wanted to use one of the gin's impacts to change a tire he didn't want to allow them to. It sure looks like my day will begin in the GM's office.
I have been judged! Krl has been having a real hard time being out here when she feels like she needs to be in Abilene to check on TRC. Thing is she is to chicken to just say this so she would rather pick a fight and then storm out of here and go to the house, mission accomplished! Duh! I made the mistake of commenting about how late it was to be starting dinner last evening, I said it would be nine-thirty or ten before it was done. I was in enough trouble then but when my prediction proved to be true it was katy bar the door! Needless to say we did not eat, she is pouting and I don't need all this crapola! She needs to go to Abilene and see if she can get her unawares out of a wad!
FATHER, already this day needs a lot of work. I need YOU to take it by the edges and straighten and smooth it. I pray for those near and dear, those far away. Bless them all. Forgive me when I get side tracked. Fill my day with YOU.
