Yesterday was a pretty good day at the parts store. Traffic was relatively steady, in and out of the store. That makes for the day to go by more quickly.

Monday night, I had put together breakfast casseroles, (2) before going to bed. Sylvia had kind of called me out last week at the parts store. She told me, "I've heard about your breakfast casserole for two years, but it never shows up." So I decided I would "shut" her up. I figured since I was fixing one for the parts store, I might as well fix a second one for Krl at the house. Trc has been helping Krl this week, so Kat has been coming with her, also Bobbie comes on Tuesday, so they had as many guaranteed attendees as we do at the parts store.

I woke about five, but waited until shortly before six to begin my day. I went to the kitchen, turn the oven on and got my mixtures from the two fridges. By the time I had "pammed" my pyrexes and poured and smoothed my mixtures, the oven was ready, and I put the two casseroles in, side by side.

This was a carefully choreographed exercise. I know how long my morning routine is, and I emerged from my bedroom and bath, freshly bathed and shaven, and fully clothed with the exception of shoes. I had a five minute window to put my shoes on before removing the casseroles from the oven.

I left both dishes on the stove to cool while I loaded and prepped my pickup for the drive to the parts store. Finally I grabbed hot mitts and took the parts store breakfast to my truck.

It was a hit, domestically and professionally.

Pepa and Riley were late coming to Memama's for lunch. In fact I was just walking out as they arrived. In a short while I had a report that one of my co-workers had seen Riley dropping Kyle off at Chiller's, next door to the parts store. Then I had a truck drive in who reported that Riley had stopped by and visited with him at the fuel stop.

I was surprised, because not that much time had elapsed since I had left Memama's.

Late in the day, Pepa and Riley came back by the parts store to cool off. Riley went into the shope with Chris and Pepa sat at the counter. I told him about the multiple sightings of Riley and he said, "Yeah, he had it all planned out in his mind before we came in for lunch".

I laughed and told him, "Riley comes by it honest. His Momma was the same way. Constantly scheming!"

After Pepa left, Syliva asked me about my comment about Tj. I told her that if Memama and Pepa had had Tj first, they would have had no other kids!

Sylvia laughed and said if her sister had been born first, her parents wouldn't have had more children either.

For those of you who aren't aware. Both Sylvia's sister and Tj are gone.

Sylvia made the comment that she believes GOD knows when you will be born, and when you will die. She also said she wondered if her sister and Tj were so mischievous and "busy" because they weren't going to live too long.

I don't know. I do know Tj lived fast and loved hard. She was the classic impulse buyer! It was nothing for her to wake Et, wanting to make a mad dash to Abilene for something in the middle of the night.

Riley is going home this weekend.

My day is backed off just a bit. I am picking up a a/c motor this morning and dropping off a starter, so I can't leave Abilene before eight.

Have a day!

FATHER, thank YOU for a good day. I ask that YOU continue to fill my week with YOU.
