Well, it was a short night. I dozed off sitting in my chair, and woke about two this morning. I decided to move to the bedroom, but once I got vertical, I got a really bad case of heartburn. After laying there about an hour and a half I decided to get up. So, let's get this Monday over with!

I talked with Pepa yesterday and he was still doing pretty well. I think some of the best medicine for him was to get home.

Pat and I had been going by and getting their mail, but neither of us ever thought to check their phone messages. As it turned out, they had several including one from Pepa's Doctor in Brownwood following up on Pepa's visit to the cardiologist. Since they got home so late Friday, they will begin their week returning lots of the calls to businesses who were closed for the weekend.

I just caught a segment of the CBS Morning show with Harry Smith interviewing the CEO of Ford. Ford is one of the bright spots they will be featuring this week. The CEO was telling Harry about their company was prepared if the economy does not rebound by the last half of this year, and he talked about the products they produce and what goals they have as a company. They are intent on continuing to improve quality and economy.

In a parting question, Harry asked the CEO what kind of grade he would give the Obama administration. He responded by saying he would give a very high grade because they acted quickly and decisively.

While I was laying in bed, I got tickled at the two little houndgirls. Brandy is the seasoned veteran and positions herself at "arms length" away. Phoo Doo is usually pressed right against Krl or myself and will follow your hand, if you move, trying to get some petting or cuddling. Brandy is always right there, and if I read down and pat her she will usually respond with a loud snore or snort. I guess Brandy knew I was having a fitful night because she moved up by me, and began doctoring a scrape on my arm. I repeatedly told her no la la, and she finally jumped to the floor and I watched her disappear under the edge of the bed. Shortly after that I got up and came to the office.

I have come to grips with the fact that I am not going to win the million dollars with my NCAA bracket. I think I am 38 of 48, but I did enter the second chance bracket. According to ESPN I did better than the President. He was 19 and 13 for the first round.

Well, I had better get my day going. I have already tried to call truck drivers this morning but so far haven't made contact.

Have a day!

FATHER, bless this day!
