I have caught bits and pieces of Congressional hearings concerning the bailout. Mr. Bernanke and Mr. Geithner have been under a lot of fire. I am appalled at the hostility and disrespect the Congressmen and women have for these men.

That is a lot like being mad at the fireman who put out the fire, for the fire.

Some critics say Bernanke and the Federal Reserve should have had a better sense of the economy "tanking". To this I would agree.

I think we may see a lot of criminal charges for CFO's who probably did some creative accounting prior to the truth being made known. One thing for sure, this mess hasn't happened overnight. It has been festering for quite some time.

I think Secretary Geithner is a smart man who is bailing water with a teaspoon.

I just saw a sound bite of President Obama, saying his intent is to be "persistent". I don't doubt this. I like his quick decisiveness. I really think he is trying to lead.

I am continuing to read my book. I know, since when has a book taken me three weeks to read. This book isn't my normal read. Normally I will read close to a hundred pages each sitting, with this book, sometimes I will read only two or three.

I'm not saying it isn't a good book. My real problem is with some of the companies the author is holding up as "Great" are companies mired in the midst of the bailout, or have been taken over or filed bankruptcy.

Currently I am in the middle of a section about finding something you can be the best at, and how you have to be passionate about it. Makes sense to me.

Yesterday Rian spoke at LCHS Chapel. He talked about spring cleaning and related that to cleansing and putting one's heart and life in order. It sounded like it was good. He seems to have a real talent for "connecting" with his students.
