One month today since I got the call about Terri.

Not a whole lot of write-able stuff going on right now. Work is work.

I am finding myself needing to put in some road miles, renew a few contacts. Get a few things in the mix.

Krl and I have a short list of things we need to do before the seasonal work, then we have an even shorter list of things we would like to do before the seasonal work.

During lulls yesterday, I woulds spray degreaser/cleaner on the transfer case I had removed from the equipment project. Wash it down, scrape a little, go back to work and then return and repeat the process. I did finally get a wire brush and do a little more cleaning. Finally I grabbed some tools and began to tear it down to replace oil seals.

I had been doing some research on the parts computer with absolutely zero results. I realize the setup I am working on is an extreme heavy duty unit. The parts computer refused to recognize my combination even existed. Usually I can ask it the same questions in a different way and find what I need. Not yesterday. I finally split the transfer case open and removed the three oil seals. Walla! I recorded the seal numbers and began checking stock. Nope! I checked the distribution center in Dallas. One. Houston. One. Oklahoma City. One. Albuquerque. Two.
Problem is, anything other than a Dallas location wouldn't be here until Friday or early next week. Yuk! I'm going to do some more checking today!

Who needs a computer!

When I returned home last evening, Krl had taken left over Sunday roast and made a big pot of stew! When I opened the door I could smell that wonderful aroma of supper simmering on the stove. A large pan of honey sweet cornbread sat cooling on the counter. Uuummm! Sounds like a country boy's dream meal!

In truth, it was probably the best stew Krl has ever cooked, and she is a mean stew cook!

I am finding a few mistakes concerning names in our home. I think I should have been named "Prime", as in real estate. Phooey and Maple Syrple fight to see who gets to sleep next to me. I have no idea why. Maple has turned out to be pretty much my hound and that may be her reason. Phooey is still such a pup she may just like to fuss!

Phooey's name should have been "Billy", as in Billy Goat! She likes nothing better than to catch me reared back in my recliner and she will hop up there and stand on my chest while defiantly looking me in the eye. Add to this the check and clothing she ate and the name would fit! I think she could be the goat on the Aflac advertisement.

Well, like I said. Nothing to really write about. Kind of a blue day, already.

Hope yours is a good one!

FATHER, don't give up on me yet!
