There is hope!

Over the weekend I came across an article documenting the end of an 11 year losing streak by the Caltech men's basketball team. The win halted a 207 game NCAA Division III losing streak dating to 1996.

One down one to go. Next on the horizon is an attempt by Caltech to end a 245 game losing streak in their conference. The conference losing streak dates back almost 22 years.

Go Brainieacks!

When I sign in to blogger, I always look over the list "blogs of note", and recently updated blogs. Yesterday I was redirected to a web sight called JokesnJunk.com. Some of the jokes are tasteless, some are politically incorrect, but Krl and I laughed and laughed over a blond joke. Allow me to share it;

There was a blond who became tired of money issues, and decided to take to a life of crime to make up for the money shortfalls. She decided to kidnap a child and hold the child for ransom. She went to the school and kidnapped a child and took them into the edge of the woods. She told the child, "You've been kidnapped". She wrote a ransom note: I have kidnapped your child. Place $10,000 in a plain paper sack and leave it at the base of the big tree on the east side of the school playground in the morning. She signed it "a blond". She then pinned the note to the child's shirt and sent the child home.

The next morning she arrived at the ransom drop to find the sack just as she had instructed, inside was the $10,000 and a note that read, "How could you do this to a fellow blond!"

Well maybe Krl and I are more simple minded than others. We thought it was choice.

When I sit down at my computer in the morning, my first action is usually to look over the internet news headlines. One that caught my eye today is that all charges against Saddam had been dropped. I don't guess they thought that one through before they hanged him, but what are they going to do, kill him again?

Well, my hopes of a Peyton and Eli superbowl took a hit yesterday. The Giants just couldn't get it done consistently, which has been their problem all year long. I actually think the Eagles may be a better team with Garcia at qb. It may not be they are better, maybe just more complete. McNabb may try to take too much on his own shoulders.

It may very well be that the superbowl is being played this next weekend in San Diego. New England is peaking at the right time, even though I will be pulling for Marty and the "bolts".

What to do today? I don't know. But I need to get busy. I am still carrying a piece around in the company pickup that I need to install on Blacksheep. I received a call Friday asking me if I thought Blacksheep's owner would be interested in selling. My first reaction was "That's the truck I drive!", but after thinking about it, I will pass this inquiry on. Maybe something in between can be reached. Blacksheep, being 19 years old, is not on the most desirable list of "trucks to drive". It is an older, ugly, slow truck from the era when trucks were trucks and men were men! For the last couple of years Blacksheep has been relegated primarily to a back up role. I actually think Blacksheep is a "hoot" to drive. Blacksheep does need a new radio/cd player. The old one has a power supply problem. No big deal!

As I have often said, shippers don't pay for pretty.

I still have to get finished with the reports I had began to work on. It doesn't take anything but time. I still need to get Krl's 'puter and scanner up and running. Until I get all of the musical computer stuff finished, her office will look like a wreck. I am now second guessing why when I moved her 'puter to the jobsite, I put an old computer in it's place at her desk.

Double your pleasure, double your fun. Double your work! Double duh!

Have a day! Let's call it Monday! Hope yours is a good one!

FATHER, thank YOU for the hope and promise we have in Jesus.
