Happy Birthday Freddy!
He would have been 62 today.
Along the same line, last night I could almost swear hearing Pepa come in.
Weird.
Well, lets see where to start.
The final bathroom is showing some progress. The shower is in place and the dressing area is tiled.
This bathroom is stretching us some because we are using the Kerdi shower system and instead of tile we are using cut stone.
The Kerdi system is a relatively new system where a membrane seals the walls and floors. Also shower pan is preformed out of Styrofoam and accessories like the curb and bench are also Styrofoam.
The funniest thing about putting the membrane on the walls and floors is that it is a bright orange. Allen, the contractor, was wearing his maroon Aggie t-shirt yesterday, so he complained all day!
I am thinking that we should be a ways down the road tiling by late today.
I am trying for a rustic or Texas look for this bathroom. So far I am very pleased. Allen was needling me yesterday about it sure looked like I scrimped on the first two bathrooms to go all out on mine. Lol! Slats can kind of see where we are going and he says this bathroom will be the the show room of the three.
We had lots of storms late yesterday and last night, but we didn't get any appreciable moisture here at the house. Points East got rain and further East, they had tornadoes. In the Granbury area they have six dead and numerous injuries.
INcounters came yesterday to install Memama's counter top. It seems Mason, the salesman, messed up again. This vanity top was a quarter inch short. Thankfully he measured it himself, but this is the second top they have sent here that wasn't right.
Well, have a day!
FATHER, we continue to ask for YOUR rain blessing. We ask YOUR blessings for those near Granbury who were in harms way..
