First work day of '11.
Lots of really good football over the weekend. I only watched bits and pieces or the compacted versions during the middle of the night.
I am very proud for TCU and their Rose Bowl win and perfect season.
I have never been a fan of the BCS and I suppose this proves that point.
Lets see, medical reports.
Saturday was encouraging for Betsy. Some positive signs, but still a long journey ahead.
Saturday night was the worst night Ellen has had. Pain, nausea, headache. They were going to do another MRI on her head. Still thinking possible concussion.
Pepa was helping Memama with groceries Saturday afternoon. She was bringing in the groceries to the back porch and placing them on his rolling walker and then would take them in the kitchen. During one of these trips he took a spill and sprawled in the floor.
Pat was summoned and found no broken bones, only some missing skin. She and Kyle were able to sit him up and Jake and Jason came by and got Pepa out of the floor.
Sunday morning Pepa called Pat wanting her to come out and check them out. Pat had a house full of people and told him when her company left, she would get by their house. In a matter of minutes he called again, telling her her thought he had broken something when he fell. She asked what he thought he broke and he responded, "A finger". She told him a finger was not an emergency and all they would do is splint it or tape it to the one next to it.
I think there were four calls in all.
Pat has a lot of patience.
Later in the day Pat was talking with Memama when all the sudden Memama said, "Oh, my. I have to get off."
Pat asked, "Whats wrong Mama, are you O.K.?"
"I have to go. Coach Freeman just walked in the door and I need to give him a hug!", Memama replied.

And Memama's and Pepa's world sat up right!
Heh, heh. Get you a dose of that Coach!
Coach is having double knee replacement tomorrow (If my tidbits of information are good) in Dallas but doesn't want anyone to know or when because he thinks Pat or I will bring Memama and Pepa down there.
Pat and I have been talking. Coach has not attended Christmas the last two years. Whether it was convenient or convoluted, either scheduling, travel, or whatever, none of coaches crew has made it. Pat and I have decided that Coach has still not dealt with losing Fred and Terri. Thing is, if we lost any of the rest of us, the problem will only compound.
Ollie is at 18 days and counting!
Have a day!
FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR blessings. We continue to lift Betsy and Ellen for YOUR gifts of healing and care. We lift Ollie, that you would keep her grounded and make good decisions! To YOU be the glory!
