Krl and I both thought the day yesterday was just a blue kind of day.

I finally got motivated and went to the pharmacy and the Post Office. I returned to the house and decided the grass was not going to get any shorter, so I began getting out the mower and weed eater. After servicing them, I started the mower and everything seemed fine. Krl came and took the mower and I got my weed eater and began edging and trimming around flowerbeds and sidewalks. When I was through, I took the mower from Krl and she took a break. I was almost through with the front when all the sudden the mower puffed a little white smoke and died.

An hour later, I had it running again, albeit very roughly. I finished the front before the mower began having more problems. I narrowed it down to fuel, it seems the float is sticking and it is running short of fuel. On a Saturday afternoon, there weren't any options for parts for a Tecumseh engine.

We returned everything to its proper place, and went into the house.

Krl made the comment, that we just don't have any luck. I begged to differ. We have lots of luck, it is just all bad!

Just kidding. Both of us were glad to finish the week from h-e-double l.

Last evening, we enjoyed a pork roast with potatoes and carrots, that Krl had put on to cook earlier in the day. It was good. A little different from our normal fare. In fact, most of our week was a little different. We had meatloaf one night, Ma Allen's one night and left overs from those meals covered other meal times. In fact, Ma Allen's had failed to give me the all important potato salad my first trip in, so I returned the next day to right the wrong. Mmmmm.

Krl retired to bed early, so I surfed the TV channels. I finally settled in on a Peter Paul and Mary special on TVLand. Mary is quite a bit bigger, Peter and Paul have much less hair, but I found myself enjoying their reunion. They still offer a unique type of music. I was so intrigued I went to their website and read up on them.

I didn't know it, but the Wedding Song was written by Noel Paul Stookey for PeterYarrow's wedding. He wanted to give the song to his friend as a wedding gift, but for some strange reason couldn't, so he have it to a charitable group. Now it has become the biggest seller ever in sheet music.

I am not sure, but I wonder if he was under contract and the song would have been part of the labels rights.

They had a clip of Paul singing the song, and it is very pretty, having a different melody and very meaningful lyrics.

I had sang the song before, and not even known it's history.

And I wonder how often that happens.

And now without Paul Harvey, we'll never know the rest of the story!

Have a day!

FATHER, I seem to be struggling. I need YOU.
