What began as an early day h a s s s..... . . . .. ..... lost it's momentum. I got the worm (as in the early bird gets the worm), now what do I do with it?

I was away from the house about a quarter to seven. Stopped in at Mackie D's, then hit the road checking on loads. Nothing at Lockheed, nothing at Eileen's, so I decided to take my burrito and diet coke and check on Memama at the hospital.

The last two days I have been there when her internist made his rounds. I was still there today when her cardiologist came by. The internist said there was not sufficient backup to support his initial belief of pneumonia, that apparently it was just fluid build up around her heart and lungs affecting her respiration. The cardiologist spent some time and told us he was sending Memama home. Turns out between the two doctors, they fine tuned some meds and made some Rx changes that they think will help. After the cardiologist left Memama told me she wished she could sit down with him and just ask him "What kind of shape she was really in?" All the sudden the door opened and the cardiologist walked back in to add to her dismissal instructions. I told him Memama had a question for him and gave her the floor. She asked her question and he told her he felt she did very well for a seventy-six year old woman, she just needed to take care of herself, watch her diet and exercise. That may be the best medicine she has had.

Kat came back to Meme's and Dandy's yesterday afternoon. She swam to her hearts content! Then we ate pizza to our belly's content. Yeehaw! Trc and Ln came to pick her up. Meme sent a freezer of banana strawberry homemade ice cream home with Ln. Today is the last day of school for AISD, so I can brag about the fact that Kat has been accepted for the gifted and talented program at Austin Elementary next year. Way to go Kat!

I am in the office. I have promised Krl 'til she no longer believes me when I say I am going to finish getting her computer up and going. I mean it today. I have a new battery back up charged and ready to go and I have figured out how to network and register the software on-line. I don't know what I am going to do with all those brownie points!

I am trying to decide what I need to do. We have a niece graduating from Sinton High School Friday night and we have a nephew graduating from Highland High School Saturday night. A few years ago Memama had just had her heart surgery so we did a family split in order to cover all the graduations that year. I ended up in Farwell for Shelby's. With Memama just being released from the hospital, you know she isn't up to going to Corpus for the Friday graduation. We discussed this morning whether or not we need to send a family representative to keep Tj from being pissed off at the whole clan.

If I go or if someone else goes I want pictures of Riley. Memama was telling me he got in a fight at school and was suspended for the day and has "on campus suspension" for the remainder of the year. Word is he has a shiner and a swollen nose. Muhammad Teltschik. Naw!!!!!!!!1

Last evening Krl's phone toned. Much to her surprise it was Ollie. She said her mother drove to Big Spring and picked her up yesterday morning. I hope those doctors could evaluate her at seventy miles an hour. One positive thing she told Krl is that the state facility is not somewhere a person would want to go.

Go figure.

Well, I have things to do and brownie points to earn.

Be the real deal.

FATHER, for YOUR love.
