One thing about living in a travel trailer for an extended period is you begin to appreciate the amenities at home! I am in Abilene for a few brief hours. I am going to early vote, pick up a few parts and supplies, and then point my pickup west one more time.

I had called the elections administrator requesting an absentee ballot be mailed to me. The young lady was very courteous but made absolutely no sense at all. She asked my location and I told her, she told me to come in and sign the request form and they would mail me a ballot. I replied that if I was in town to sign the request I would just vote. She said, "That will work!"
The girl is saving a ton on postage!

The weather finally got us yesterday. It was overcast and finally succumbed to light rain. We have ginned everything on the module yard and there is only one module tagged in that has not been hauled. I left a list of things to do for my workers remaining on the jobsite and I dispersed trucks from St. Lawrence to Midland, Roscoe, Sweetwater, Lubbock, Farwell, Brownwood and Farmington. Basically all of these drivers remain on call Thursday while expecting to return to the jobsite on Friday. All of this is subject to the weather.

I left St. Lawrence late yesterday and arrived at home just after nine. Krl had called in an order and I picked up our dinner on my way in. I quickly unloaded my truck, ran a tub of hot hot water, grabbed my book and jumped in and soaked! Ah! Krl came in and sat in the floor and visited for a few minutes and then I hopped out, put on my jogs and we ate supper. I did manage to stay awake long enough to watch the world series. I awoke early and tried to do that cat nap thing but just couldn't, so I finally got up. Now I find myself hurrying to complete my tasks before leaving for St. Lawrence again. Duty calls!

FATHER, thank you for the brief interlude. I needed that! I ask again that YOU help me seize the opportunity to surrender to YOU. Help me to reconnect. FATHER there are many ill who need YOUR healing. I lift up Hag, Rene', Carol, Michelle, Aimee and Lillie. I ask for YOUR miracle of healing for them. There are many who are hurting from loss. Comfort them. FATHER, bless all of them. I pray for the needs of our spiritual family, I pray for a lost world. I pray for R2D2. I pray for our leaders, for direction, for purpose. ALL PRAISE to YOU from whom all blessings flow!
