Isn't it amazing how a night of sleep refreshes?

I feel good! Make that, I feel GOOD!

After a tough couple of days I am ready and rip roaring to go! Lots of stuff going on, I love the upcoming three day weekend! I had toyed with the idea that I would take today off but after being out of the office the last couple of days I was afraid by Tuesday I would be buried. So a compromise was in order. I am going to stay and post all the payroll and fuel into my spread sheets and then I am out the door.

I am trying to wait out a person, hoping they leave their place of employment before I go in today to finish swearing out my complaint. When I was by yesterday they were asking me to participate in an ethics probe concerning this same individual I am filing on and Taylor County has been requested to assist with some back ground. Some of the things and especially some of the word phrases sure do sound familiar. I tried to play it cool and not like I know too much but it appears this stems from this person's last place of employment. I still can't tell if it is an unhappy parent or a disgruntled former co-worker. When they started asking me specifics like "power trips" and "control" I told them "enough is enough, if you expect me to participate, serve me with a subpoena and I will sing like a canary!" Man, wouldn't that be something, to owe a bunch of money and then be banned from the field you prepared for. You know too, often times a probe is as effective in terminating or re-directing a career as an investigation or conviction. I do know it is not much fun when you can't do anything but ride the stream currents. Oh well, what goes around comes around! And who woulda thunk it in that "perfect setting" alas, things are not always what they seem. It would appear that glass house thing should be in effect!

I got Krl out of the house late yesterday and ran a few more errands. Kat hadn't showed up at our house so I wheeled by and picked her up, ran out to CC&S and finally we went back to the house. Kat had to get her fix of computer games while the sun set a little bit more. Krl decided to order pizza on Thursday instead of Friday and Kat talked Meme into ordering her a small cheese pizza (I think it is because Kat is cheesy!) Kat happened back in the house in time to pay the pizza man.

Kat got to spend the night with us. She wanted to sleep on the couch. Dandy had gone to bed early because of his early start on Thursday and it was just before midnight that I heard a commotion. She had been lying on the couch eating cereal and she got up to put her bowl in the sink and while she was gone Black Dog got her spot. Meme had to issue a ruling. Don't ask me what she was doing up at midnight, probably reading the dictionary or devouring some other brain food! After that it was a peaceful night!

Krl and Kat have had the Albertson's/Butcher Block sales flyer out marking what they want for Monday. Krl has invited our family over for fun and festivities. Looks like barbecue, finger foods and home made ice cream! Let's see, spicy food, high cholesterol, and sugar. That ought to work. Part of our finger foods are going to be team projects. When Krl and I were out west we purchased a kit made by the Vidalia company. It includes the cutter and the batter for something very similar to the "Bloomin' Onion" or "Awesome Blossoms' you can get at some of the local restaurants. Krl and I have been talking of buying a turkey deep fryer, not to do turkey's but to do big frying projects outside like the onions and another all time favorite, zucchini sticks! We plan on owning one of these by Monday. Maybe some ribs, some burgers, hot dogs, a little fun in the sun and cooling off in the pool! Sounds like a plan.

Tomorrow marks eighteen years for Krl and I. Happy Anniversary Dear! I still think YOU are a hottie! ((Kat thinks it is funny that Dandy calls Meme a "hottie"). This has been a really good week for Krl and I, probably the best we have had in a long time. It amazes me how purging the "hooey filter" can do that.

FATHER, thank YOU for refreshing me! YOU are a mighty and powerful GOD to whom all praise and glory is due! I continue to petition YOU to strike down the infidels. FATHER, I thank YOU for Krl and the eighteen years we have had together I ask that YOU bless us with many more! FATHER I continue to lift up Krl, Memama, Pepa, Hag,. B., Lillie, Aimee,Jennifer, Ashlyn Kate, Jess, Dr. Mackie, and Jeanine for YOUR miracle of healing and care. I ask for comfort for those hurting from loss. I pray for those of us who struggle as we follow YOU. I pray for our spiritual family and our leaders. I ask YOUR blessings on the efforts being made to expand YOUR kingdom. Awesome GOD are YOU!
