I haven't been very diligent in my blogging lately. Sorry! This part time gig is kind of throwing me off.
I returned to the Peach and Melon Festival Saturday night and stayed there until the wee hours Sunday. I think by the time I got home, unwound, cleaned up and got to bed it was four am.. I have not set an alarm in forever unless it is for two or three in the morning but I should have. I guess my week caught up with me, when I looked at the clock it was eleven thirty! Shazam!
We had a good weekend. I enjoyed getting to visit with many friends and acquaintances.
I am off today. Then I am scheduled for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and then off for the weekend. I guess I will move my Saturday to Friday again as we are planning on going to Lubbock for Reid's first birthday! Unless something changes I will be spending a lot of time on the road again. I did get an inkling that I may spend time in the office this week. I kind of like to be on the road. I usually don't even turn the radio on, but I probably look like an idiot as I sing and talk and pray. It has gotten where I really look forward to this concentrated GOD time!
I am using today to put equipment together for the upcoming contract. I am trying to get a quote on a new Manitou forklift. I plan on trying to go with less equipment, two forklifts instead of three, probably ten trucks and sixteen or seventeen trailers. Next step will be to put warm bodies in place. I guess I will be looking for about twenty or twenty-one people that want to work, don't mind long hours, like lots of overtime and work well with others. I really wish I had about three contracts like this a year. I would vacation the remainder of the year and retire early!
FATHER, bless my efforts as I plan for my upcoming contract. I pray that YOU will lead good people to me to fill my job openings. FATHER help me to be a good overseer, fair in my compensation offering, free with my compliments and gentle in my scoldings. Keep me centered and tethered in YOU. FATHER I continue to ask YOUR healing for Aimee, Rene', Carol, and Michelle. Bless them, surround them with YOU. Bless this week LORD!
